The City and Landscape group consists of C&L journal publishers, C&L research department and C&L consulting firm.
The City and Landscape research department is an organization which performs planning and design projects, as well as, scientific events contains conferences, workshops, and symposiums. This organization publishes research achievements in the fields of Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Design, Urban Management, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design and Planning, and Architecture.
According to our cited activities, we mainly concentrate on a pivot approach of using the multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge; Hence, we perform collaborative activities and some joint plan of actions in all related fields.

Jean-Michel Coget is an associate professor in “Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris la Villette” and in “University of Paris VIII Saint-Denis”. Jean-Michel Coget is also president of CIFAA (NGO accredited with UN Habitat). He founded a consultancy firm in 1982 called JMC2 which assists governments, major cities, major private groups, etc. to define and implement their strategy and information technologies(IT) in management of real estate patrimony, urban and architectural projects or sustainable development policies.
Diane Menzies has been officer of the New Zealand order of Merit for environmental services. She has received a Ph.D. from “Lincoln University” in Resource studies and holds masters degrees in Business Administration from “Canterbury University” also management Dispute Resolution from “Massey University”. She has won the Christchurch civic award for services to the city, for leading the port Hills Millennium landscape project in 2000. Also she has been international member of American Society of Landscape Architecture.
Jamal Athari holds Ph.D. in Town Planning & Urban design. He is architectural consultant, also the university lecturer in Sustainable architecture, Environmental and Energetic Sustainable architecture and urban spatial planning. He works on Urban planning, Rehabilitation, Design of Eco-neighborhood, Environmental Quality of Buildings, Energy Saving Techniques : HQE, BREAM, LEED, Rehabilitation, Restoration, Renewal and up-grading of marginalize urban areas also local participation and capacity building procedures.
Esmaeil Tavakoli Mehr owns an M.Arch and M.A urban design from university of “Manchester”.
He has over 30 years, experience as the head of architecture and urban design team of S&B company focusing on housing complexes, shopping centers and 3 new towns ; Aalishahr new town , (Bushehr province), Sadra new town,( Fars Province) and Siraf new town,( South Pars oil and gas field). He has translated books and articles in urban design and architecture fields.
Laala Jahahshloo is a professor in Urban Planning and Urban design at Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran. She was the top student in entrance exam and graduated as top student of class in both master and PHD degree. She has written articles about “Cities in Communications Area”, “Evaluation Models” especially fuzzy one. She was a member of editorial board of “Naghsh Namyeh” and “Naghsh pardazesh E Shahr”. She has also worked in different Urban design and urban planning projects and Architecture ones such as “Shush –Besaat corridor” as main activity axis in spatial structure of Tehran, “revising in Tehran financial plan according to Tehran new comprehensive plan” and “revising Tabriz comprehensive plan”.
Mohammad Motallebi is CEO of “City & Landscape” consulting firm. He is co-founder and interim president of IFLA Middle East, a practitioner- lecturer Iranian Environmental and Landscape Designer. He earned his Bachelor of Landscape Engineering from “University of Tabriz” and Master of Environmental Design from “University of Tehran”. Environmentally-responsible design and sustainable urban development have been Mohammad’s core focus throughout his career. He has worked on more than 30 Landscape, Urbanism and Tourism projects in local to national levels. In 2012 he was elected as President of ISLAP( Iranian Society of landscape Professions ). In recent years he was the juror for Singapore national Landscape Awards and IFLA Asia Pacific Landscape Awards. He is a member of the jury for IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Gold Medal.
Nava Tavakoli Mehr is chief-in-editor in C&L journal and head of the board of director in C&L consulting firm. She owns a bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering and she received a masters degree in Landscape Architecture at “Tehran University”.Her professional experiences are in Urban landscape Design and Urban Environmental issues as well as works on urban design and planning , urban documentary and journalism of architecture and urbanism. Also, she has worked in Tehran municipality for over 12 years as an Environmental expert, Landscape designer.She has been the member of the board of director in the Iranian Society of landscape Professions (ISLAP) as the Iranian branch of IFLA from 2010.
Nasim Sahraei Nejad is currently an assistant professor at “Azad University”, Science and Research Branch in Tehran also a researcher for urban landscape area at Beautification Organization of Tehran Municipality. She holds Ph.D. from “University Putra Malaysia(UPM)” and Master degree in Environmental Design from “Azad university”. She has worked as landscape expert in Tarh & Amayesh consulting firm and Rahshahr international group, architectural consultant company cooperated for many important landscaping projects as improvement of passageways on Azadi, Enghelab and Shariati in Tehran, exhaustive plan of Abadan-Khorramshahr and airport city of Imam Khomeini and also some other projects about landscaping of Asalooyeh-Mianloo.
